Thank you for your reply. Is there any scripture that I can use to understand the difference between faith and blind faith?

Blind faith is required I am told by my mentors. Intellect is also a gift. How does one develop a discerning intellect. What is a discerning intellect?

A discerning intellect is developed through self-reflection and self-admission. It is where we admit our faults and watch ourselves closely. Simultaneously, we observe our interactions closely. As for blind faith, we disagree. Faith is a must, but not blind faith.

Also, very illuminating is the fact that Goodmen must inspire others to act for themselves. This also applies to parenting.

Parenting is one of the most important parts of life in Sikhi. Your children are also a guarantee of immortality.

Beautiful summary and call to action for good men. It is simply not enough to conquer yourself and then watch. It is also very powerful that you have summarized the polarity that happens when you conquer evil within yourself, you’re going to attract that same polarity externally, so you must be prepared to deal with the external. Miri piri.

Like they say, once you pass through hell get ready to go back. The effort made to master yourself is the same as traversing through hell barefooted. And then to return...that's another thing. That's why no other faith even comes close to Sikhi.

I think more than faith- what to hope for is darshan, an experience of it. Of course faith in the basic sense is required, but that is so for anything we ourselves don't directly experience- ie, we trust the newspaper when we read the score of a game that happened the day before. But experiencing something directly negates the need for faith at all. Once you've touched the Guru's feet, you don't need it anymore.
